- Make sure the connections are fine.
- For the Initial configurations connect the SMC2621W to the LAN port of the router.
- Make sure the Printer is connected properly to the USB/Parallel port of the SMC2621W.
- Make sure the error light does not GLOW on the device, if it is lit up. Unplug the printer and re-plug it after 10 sec.
- Make sure the LAN light is lit up fine on the SMC2621W device.

To restore the factory default settings:
- Turn the Wireless Print Server OFF.
- Press and hold the diagnostic button. While pressing the
button, switch the Wireless Print Server ON.
- If you continue pressing the button for 10 seconds, a
diagnostic page will be printed, showing the new (default) settings.

- Unplug the Printer and re-plug it back after 10-15 sec.
- If still the ERROR light is lit perform a hard reset on the device using a
paper clip. Hold the DIAG button for 15 sec. and than release the DIAG button.
- Try connecting another printer, as it would be printer compatibility issue.
