Office Networks
In the office, a wireless network can significantly extend the range and improve office productivity and responsiveness. They can enable new flexible ways of working and conducting business that were not possible before. Not only can people work where they want, but the critical business data does not have to be located in the same building to be viewed or updated. It can make good economic sense either as a new venture or as an additional service added on to an existing public service such as a hotel, cafe or transportation terminus. The competitive rates for high speed broadband links and wireless broadband equipment mean that anyone with an existing premise and a steady stream of visitors can benefit from a wireless hotspot solution. Depending on the size and layout of the premises, the wireless area can be extended using wireless bridges so that users can roam from cafe to restaurant to lounge while still logged into the single wireless gateway account. In this way, longer sessions can be sold to users and more clients can share the same services.
