Overview
SMC introduces the new Wi-Fi Phone for Skype: WSKP100 for users who need
mobility and cost effective voice calls over the Internet. The WSKP100 is
intended to help users make Skype calls at home, work or campus without the
hassle of having to turn on your computer. It is based on the 802.11b/g
standard so it is compatible with almost all standard Access Points on the
market. With SMC’s WSKP100 users can enjoy the benefit of free calls within
the Skype network, and cost effective using Skype’s paid services such as
SkypeIn and SkypeOut. Once configured, users will not have to remember the
SSID or security of each AP as the WSKP100 can store this information and will
connect automatically to the closest of your preferred wireless networks at
startup. Mobility is enhanced with the WSKP100’s interface for making any
configuration changes both quick and easy.
