Overview
The SMC1244TX is a high-performance plug-and-play 32-bit PCI 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet adapter that utilizes the latest chipset technology and 32-bit bus mastering mode. The dual-speed adapter automatically senses and switches to 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps (20 Mbps or 200 Mbps in full-duplex mode) and connects to Ethernet/Fast Ethernet networks using a single RJ-45 connector. Running at full duplex speed, the SMC1244TX transforms a desktop PC into a high-bandwidth multimedia workstation or power server. And because the adapter is PCI-compliant, it operates in the 32-bit bus master mode, delivering throughput as multi-megabits per second, with little stress on the host CPU. Installation could not be easier: just plug it into your computer, load the driver, and it's ready to go!
