Overview
The EliteConnect™ 2.4GHz 802.11g Wireless Access Point (SMC2552W-G2)
provides a secure and high-performance enterprise class wireless LAN
supporting up to 64 users. The reliability, security, and manageability of the
SMC2552W-G2 make it an ideal solution for any organization looking to satisfy
its workforce’s mobile computing needs. The new SMC2552W-G2 also supports
8 SSID’s with VLAN tagging per SSID. Wireless LAN security is a main concern
in enterprise deployment. The EliteConnect™ 2.4GHz 802.11g Wireless Access
Point provides enterprise level advanced authentication and encryption security
features. The new SMC2552W-G2 also has flexible management features. Web-
based network management tools make configuration and remote management
of the network simple. IT professionals can also use Command Line Interface
(CLI) to quickly and easily manage the device, along with telnet and SSH. Other
management features include SNMP (v1, 2c, 3) support, Syslog and Event
Logging The new enterprise level 802.11g Wireless Access Point supports
Power over Ethernet that adheres to 802.3af standard.
