Overview
SMC's EZ Switch™ 10/100s are dual-speed desktop network switches that deliver
a whopping 200 Mbps per port, yet are as easy to install and use as an
ordinary hub. The EZ Switch 10/100s feature full auto-negotiating 10/100
ports, which automatically detect the speed and duplex modes of attached
devices and allow the switch to automatically configure itself for optimum
operation. The EZSwitch 10/100s deliver full bandwidth capability on each
individual port, avoiding the congestion problems associated with shared hubs.
They also provide a buffered store-and-forward architecture, which prevents
bad packets from propagating throughout the network. The EZSwitch 10/100s also
provide back pressure and flow control to prevent packet loss and ensure peak
performance at all times. These features and more make the EZ Switch 10/100s
powerful enough to run your network's backbone, with the plug-and-play
simplicity that makes installation and operation a snap.
