Overview
The Barricade™ Broadband Router (SMCBR21VPN) is an ideal networking solution
for the SMB. This multi-function router combines load balancing WAN ports, a
DMZ port and a 10/100 LAN port. It has a built in robust Stateful Inspection
firewall to protect your network from the edge. The Barricade supports
protocols such as TCP/IP, while also providing support for VPN connections
with PPTP and IPSec. SMCBR21VPN’s Stateful Packet Inspection Firewall
provides a high level of security against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.
The SPI firewall analyzes each individual data packet as it passes through the
SMCBR21VPN and ensures that only authorized packets can access the local
network. It also provides flexible Access Control to allow greater flexibility
in protecting your network. Having built in multiple WAN ports enables load
balancing based on different parameters or redundant internet connections to
protect against business critical internet downtime.
