Overview
The SMC1233A-TX is a 10/100Mbps PCI bus adapter that supports all the features
required by today’s 10/100 Ethernet networks. Using a single RJ-45, the
adapter automatically detects the network speed and cable polarity and adjusts
itself using the IEEE 802.3 auto-negotiation standard. With very low power
consumption, the SMC1233A-TX supports Advance Configuration and Power
Interface (ACPI) Specification and PCI Power Management Specification. The
SMC1233A-TX supports 32-bit data transfers as a bus-master for the PCI
interface, and has extensive driver support that includes Windows for
Workgroup 3.11, NetWare- DOS/ODI, NetWare 32Bit ODI, NDIS 2 driver for
Microsoft LAN Manager, Windows 95B, IBM LAN Server DOS Client, NDIS 3/ 4/ 5
driver for Microsoft Windows 95 OSR2, Windows 98, Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0,
Windows 2000 or above, Packet driver for FTP PC/TCP, NCSA, TCP/IP, and Linux
driver. It also supports Virtual LAN (VLAN) and Quality of Service (QoS).
