Overview
The SMC2582W-B is a wireless Ethernet Bridge that lets you make any wired Ethernet-equipped device part of your wireless network. In the office, you can use the SMC2582W-B to convert your Ethernet-wired printers, scanners, and notebook and desktop computers into wireless networked devices. At home, you can use the SMC2582W-B to connect computers, game consoles, and set-top boxes to your wireless network to share your high-speed network connection. Best of all, the SMC2582W-B is completely driver-free, so it works on any platform and under any operating system right out of the box. Just attach your device to the SMC2582W-B, configure the network settings through your Web browser, and you’re up and running. You can also use the SMC2582W-B as a “cable-less cable” to connect remote areas in your company (such as between the Shipping and Receiving departments) or at home (such as between a home office and the kitchen). With the SMC2582W-B in one location and another one (or an SMC wireless Access Point) in another location, you're connected – with no cabling hassles.
