Overview
The EZ Switch™ 10/100, SMCFS801, is an unmanaged 8-port 10/100 Mbps Fast
Ethernet desktop switch with a compact design. With no configuration required,
the switch is simple to set up and network migration is seamless.
Auto-negotiation is used to select the optimal communication mode for each
connection, auto-sensing selects the optimal transmission speed. A
power-saving feature automatically powers down switch ports that have no link
to make your network environmentally friendly without sacrificing network
performance. In addition, each switch ports actively detects the presence of
short cables and then determines the appropriate power level based on cable
length. The result is lower electricity bills for your home or office and a
healthier environment for everyone. The switch is completely plug & play and
includes a simple array of “at-a-glance” LED indicators for monitoring network
activity and troubleshooting network problems.
